2001 Volkswagen Bora 4Motion, a car most VW enthusiasts in the United States have only heard about. Think of it as the MkIV R32 sedan Volkswagen never gave us here in the States. Imported directly from Japan, this left-hand drive Bora combines the legendary 24V VR6 engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and Volkswagen’s 4Motion AWD system.
Powered by the 24V VR6, this Bora predates the US-market introduction of the 24V-equipped Jetta by several years, making it an incredibly unique and rare configuration. While the US didn’t receive 24V VR6 Jettas until the 2003 model year, Japan received this setup much earlier, and in true enthusiast fashion, this example was also offered in left-hand drive form.
This Bora was personally purchased in Japan in 2024 and stored overseas until it became eligible for import under the 25-year rule. It is now fully imported, titled in Arizona, and ready for its next owner.
Finished in Reflex Silver over a black leather interior, this Bora is loaded with enthusiast-focused factory options and tasteful upgrades. Inside you’ll find the sought-after Euro Recaro leather seats with large bolsters, factory dimple dash, brushed aluminum trim, and a fully converted black interior.
